The Benevolent and Protective order of Elks Lodge #400 in Waukesha, WI was chartered May 12, 1898. The Lodge moved to its present location at 2301 Springdale Road in April, 1970. We are one of over 2,300 Lodges nationwide and one of 29 Lodges in the State of Wisconsin.
Some of the activities of the Lodge include: Annual Flag Day Service, Memorial Service, Installation of Officers, Veterans Day Observance, Bowling League, Golf Outings, and Cookouts. In addition to our membership, there is an active Elks Ladies organization and a Past Exalted Rulers organization.
The National Hoop Shoot program is administered by the Godge; Scholarships (College and Vocational), Drug Awareness Poster Contest, Annual Youth Awards Night, Most Valuable Student Scholarships, US Constitution Scholarships, Americanism Essay Awards, and Youth Camp Scholarships.
Friday Night Fish Fry, Golf Cookouts, Special Dinners and Dances, Memorial Service, Flag Day Service, Family Picnic, and Children’s Christmas and Easter Parties.
The Elks have vowed that as long as there are Veterans in our hospitals they will never be forgotten.
Elks members support many charitable causes such as: Boy Scouts, Camp Wawbeek Respite Center, High School Scholarships, the fight against drug abuse, Fire and Police Awards, Citizen Awards, and several other youth and charitable programs.
Benefits received by belonging to the Waukesha Elks Lodge #400 are: Semi-Monthly Lodge meetings, monthly Lodge bulletin, monthly Elks magazine, Old Timers monthly meetings, and a Lodge membership admission card that entitles you to attend and participate in all Lodge functions, not only in your Home lodge, but in any lodge throughout the United States
We have several rooms you can choose from, and our clients are able to customize their event to their needs. We take great pride in offering customers the highest quality service possible.
Operating year-round, the Wisconsin Elks/Easter Seals Respite Camp is unique. Not only are we one of the only programs in Wisconsin that provides overnight, individualized respite care, but we also accept campers with severe and multiple disabilities who have been turned down by many other programs.
